Mold Sampling

How do we determine if there is mold in the house?

As a certified mold tester, Brian will highlight any issues that might suggest that mold could be growing in the house.  Aside from visible mold, there could be evidence of past water intrusion, or excessive condensation or humidity in the home.  These are all water sources, of course, which is what mold needs to grow.  If there is suspicion of mold, Brian will consult with you to see if you would like to have it tested.  The samples will be taken to a local laboratory and each type of mold, if found, will be identified and quantified.  If air samples are taken, they are compared against an outside sample, which serves as a baseline for the types of mold in the air at that particular time.  Your report will be delivered to you, usually within 24 hours, and Brian will explain the findings and what should be done to remediate the mold.
